Role: Senior Web Penetration Testers

Senior Web Penetration Testers are cybersecurity experts responsible for identifying vulnerabilities in web applications and systems through simulated attacks. They utilize advanced techniques to assess security measures, ensuring organizations can mitigate risks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
– Conduct Advanced Penetration Tests: Execute thorough penetration tests on web applications, networks, and cloud environments to identify security flaws.
– Vulnerability Assessment: Analyze systems for vulnerabilities using both automated tools and manual testing techniques.
– Report Writing: Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings, risks, and recommended remediation strategies for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
– Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior penetration testers, sharing expertise and best practices to enhance team capabilities.
– Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand application architecture and provide security insights during the software development lifecycle.
– Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to continuously improve testing methodologies.
Required Skills
– Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of web security principles, common vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, SQL Injection), and penetration testing frameworks (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite).
– Scripting Knowledge: C and C++ source code review skills
Qualifications
– Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
– Certifications: Relevant certifications such as BCAA Certified Security Penetration Tester – Advanced
– Experience: Typically requires 8-12 years of experience in penetration testing or a related cybersecurity role.
