On Monday, Star Health and Allied Insurance Company announced that their investigation found no evidence of misconduct by the chief information security officer regarding the data leak. The company asserted that the purported communications between the hacker and the security officer were fabricated by the perpetrator. In response to the breach, Star Health reported the unauthorized access to local authorities and initiated an investigation into the matter. Additionally, the company has sought legal action against Telegram and the hacker in an Indian court to facilitate the removal of the compromised content from online platforms. According to a statement released by Star Health on Monday, the websites utilized by the hacker to expose the data, along with the Telegram chatbots, have since been taken down.
